Scheduling Appointments

How do I make a spa appointment?

It is easy; contact us by telephone or email to see if the time you would like is available.
A credit card is needed to reserve your appointment.

Why is a credit card needed to hold an appointment?

Credit cards are used to reserve your appointment with the spa. Since the spa can only take a limited number of appointments in a day they normally hold a credit card and have a written cancellation policy. This is merely a deterrent to prevent people from booking a prime appointment and then cancelling at last minute or not showing up, while other clients wanted that appointment slot. In addition, therapists are paid for the services they perform so if you cancel they don’t receive any compensation.

Cancellation policy: What do I do if I need to cancel my appointment?

Please notify The Spa a minimum of 24 hours in advance should you need to cancel or reschedule. Less than 24 hour notice will be subject to a 50% charge for the service. All no-show appointments will be charged at full value.

Why can I not just walk-in and get an appointment?

If you are looking for a prime-time spot around lunch, after work, or on weekend be sure to call ahead early because these prime spots are normally reserved in advance.

What if I am late for my appointment?

Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment. Our skilled therapists will more closely focus in on areas of concern during the shortened service to give you the most effect in the time frame provided. The cost however will normally remain the same due to the fact the spa was ready to perform your service at the time designated, so the spa may invoke its cancellation or lateness policy and thus charge you the full amount of the service. The best way to avoid these is it to plan on arriving at the spa 15 minutes ahead of time so you will be ready for your appointment as soon as it becomes available.

Preparing for Your Appointment

Do I really need to arrive 10 minutes early for my appointment?

It is highly advisable that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment; this gives you the chance to relax and unwind prior to your massage. If it is your first time to the spa, there is a form to fill out. If you arrive right on time, you might cut into your actual treatment time. If you do arrive just on-time its ok, your skilled therapist will focus on your needs in the time available.

Which massage treatment is right for me?

If you are not sure, talk with your therapist to learn choices and suggestions.

Can I eat before a treatment?

To get the full benefits of your massage treatment, do not eat just beforehand (especially heavy meals). However, if you are hungry, it’s better to have a snack so that you aren’t distracted by a growling stomach during your treatment.

Should I tell anyone about any physical, medical or allergy concerns?

Upon arrival to The Spa, you will complete a brief health history questionnaire to assist the therapist in providing you the best possible experience and to assure your maximum safety and comfort. We encourage you to disclose any pertinent health conditions that may affect your spa experience.

What should I wear?

For Thai style massage, wear loose comfortable clothes. Clean Thai style pajamas are available. For other styles of massage, modesty is respected at all times, draping is practiced, this is where a sheet is “draped” over the client. Only the specific area being worked on is un covered. During your Massage

What do I do during a massage?

Get comfortable and focus on your breathing. This is your time and you should delight in the experience to the fullest. If you experience discomfort due to room temperature, massage pressure, music volume or any other conditions, please tell your therapist immediately.

If your therapist wants you to adjust your position, they will ask you to move or just do it for you. Do what feels right to stay comfortable and relaxed. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the service. In order to receive your ideal massage, make sure to communicate with your therapist on your comfort with the room’s temperature and the pressure being applied to your muscles. The main priority of the therapist is to help you and listen to your needs and would be more than happy to adjust according to your comfort level.

What happens at the end of the treatment?

After all of our treatments, we invite our guests to relax quietly for a few minutes, luxuriating in the peace and bliss of the experience.

Other information

Why can’t I come in to get a service at 7:45pm when you’re open until 8pm?

We take last appointments at 7:30pm. If you show up at 7:45pm, we will already be in the process of closing.

*If we know in advance the spa might be able to stay open later to accommodate, if you really need it.*

How often should I get a massage?

This is a complex question because there are a lot of factors that take place in determining how often – such as cost, time restraints, physical problems, etc. On average clients receive massages 1-2 times a month. This increases if the client has a physical ailment that they are trying to relieve. Massage like many treatments, are not a one time occurrence. To see consistent results, even if it’s to decrease stress and relax, treatments need to be on consistent bases. Massage therapy is an important part of your lifestyle and should be considered just like sleep, diet, and exercise.

I don’t have aches or pains why should I get a massage?

While massage is great for relieving aches and pains, it is more importantly used to help relax, decrease stress & tension, increase circulation & detoxification, increase flexibility and movement.

Are your services covered by health insurance?

Most insurance companies don’t cover massage therapy, but please check with your provider to verify since some insurance providers are beginning to cover massage treatments.
